If you read our entry a few weeks ago about the Playground of the Future project, you might be interested in attending an upcoming lecture at the Schenley Park Visitor Center. On Tuesday, December 16 at noon, the team from the Entertainment Technology Center heading up the research project (Kelsey Livingston, Laura Lantz, Marlos Hu, and Joey Yeh) will be speaking about playgrounds around the world and how their design is shaping the future of play. Shortly after the lecture, the group will be archiving their research findings on the web, so we’ll post a link when that’s ready.
The lecture is free and open to the public, and we hope it will spark a discussion about the future of playgrounds in Pittsburgh. If you need further information, contact Kelsey by e-mail.
This is the first of a new series of park-related lectures that the Parks Conservancy will be hosting in the months ahead. We’ll keep you updated when new speakers are scheduled.
